okay so my mom just ate almost en entire package of gingerbread dough.. i had to literally pry the last tiny piece from her hands and throw it away. she kept complaining about her stomach ache but still couldn’t get herself to stop eating it hahahh ugh is this my future..
It’s snowing sooo much here like you guys have no idea haha it’s total chaos but it’s amaaaazing <3
SNOW
Just a tiny update. I’ve been living in Senegal for a few months which is part of the reason why I haven’t been on this blog a lot. I just moved back two days ago though to the snow and darkness of Sweden. It’s weird because apparently it hadn’t been snowing for weeks here but the minute I stepped off of the plane it started snowing and has been doing so constantly until just right now. So it’s so beautiful and white outside (which I’ve been admiring from the inside, just staring out through my window haha, still too unadjusted to the sudden cold to be outside a lot!) The snow really brightens everything up, so the darkness which begins at like 3 o’clock pm isn’t all that bad.
Anyway.. Where am I going with this haha? Just wanted to say I’m glad to be back on tumblr as well as in Sweden. ..Honestly I’m really sad to be back in Sweden too but mostly happy. Idk. It’s just difficult when you want to be everywhere at once. Love living here though. Temporarily.

Sweden won the Eurovision Song Contest!!!! I’m so ecstatic right now; can’t even explain! No this has nothing to do with winter but still.. there was snow on the stage and summer just reached sweden like two weeks ago so yeah DONT COMPLAIN. <3
most seasonal blogs have switched to spring or even summer but in sweden it’s still snowing hahah forever a winter blog♥
Sweden has a new baby princess!
So last night our crown princess (future queen) Victoria and prince Daniel had a baby girl! I am so excited! Today I’ve cried almost as much as I did when they got married haha. She is their first child so she will take over the throne after Victoria. But at the moment she’s not even a day old, just a tiiiny little baby princess <3

Fettisdagen!
Today is Pancake Day, Mardi Gras, Fastlagstisdagen, Faschingsdienstag etc. but in Sweden we call this day “Fettisdagen”. It’s the last day before lent so we eat a lot of fat food, especially a dessert called “semla”; therefore some people call this day the semla-day since we don’t usually eat them on other days. A “semla” is a bun sprinkled with powdered sugar, stuffed with whipped cream and almond paste. Semlor are eaten in other countries as well, especially in Scandinavian countries, where they are often stuffed with jam and other ingredients.
Most people don’t do lent, I personally don’t know one single Swedish person who does it, but we still like to eat semlor on Fettisdagen. Because we’re greedy. And freezing cold this time of year - food is our only pleasure hah
It’s freeeezing in Sweden right now! My blood pressure is too low for this haha..
Today when I went for a walk I almost fainted because I got so dizzy from the cold. I started seeing all black and heard this ringing noise and couldn’t think or walk straight so I had to call my dad to tell him to come pick me up. Embarrassing -.-
I really want to go to early Christmas service (julotta) but my parents won’t let me
Hahah what other parents won’t let their daughter go to church? :P It’s 6am here and I haven’t gone to bed yet so I really want to go to the service at 7. I just tried to pull my parents out of bed but they say it’s too dark and too cold out so I’ll get sick since I haven’t slept -.- I already convinced my mom to go with me to the one at 11 but I know I’ll be too tired then. If I lived someplace other than Sweden this would never happen because 1) my parents probably wouldn’t be agnostic and 2) it wouldn’t still be dark out at 7-8 am hahah
